Bill Lowry, a lifelong Chicago South Sider, is committed to community service and equity. A husband of 30 years to Cheryl and father to three children, he proudly serves as Cook County Commissioner for the 3rd District. As president of Nyhan, Bambrick, Kinzie & Lowry law firm, Commissioner Lowry brings over 30 years of legal expertise. He supports education and equity through board roles at Lake Forest College and Loyola University School of Law, where he established scholarships for students of color.Inspired by the tragic 2013 loss of Hadiya Pendleton, he founded The It’s Time Organization (TITO), a non-violence initiative supporting youth with programs and internships.As Commissioner, he promotes economic growth, criminal justice reform, and affordable healthcare. His legislation includes the Good Faith Effort Transparency Report and the Cook County Cannabis Commission, fostering equity and opportunity. Commissioner Lowry strives to build a stronger, safer Cook County for all.
